NewsRound: Challenge matches

Louth were Beaten in two Challenge's over the weekend

Saturday, They played Wicklow in the Nicks pitch in Drogheda and lost by four.
16 points to 1-9

and

Yesterday, they went down to Meath 1-13 to 1-10 in Trim.

Summary

With only 13 more days till Portlaoise you say! but there is Nothing to worry about really....

Challenges matches are very loose and of a low intensity anyway so you can't really judge or gauge anything from them really.

Every member of the panel got a solid runout over two games, importantly the panel gets together and I'm sure worked on a few things and that’s all you need.

So, as long as we don't fall into any bad habits of these low intensity challenges, the games would have been seen as a useful exercise by Management.

They may have got to see a player in a certain situation and couple of players who work well in a certain combination. A player may have hit form since the league and could be a bolter come the big day in Portlaoise...!?

This management team is learning all the time and they say you learn more from a loss than a win so these losses may actually be a good thing.
