LOOK@Tyrone

1 John Devine,
2 Aidan McCrory, 3 Conor Clarke, 4 PJ Quinn,
5 Cathal McCarron, 6 Peter Harte, 7 Damian McCaul,
8 Michael Murphy, 9 Joe McMahon,
10 Ronan McNabb, 11 Mark Donnelly, 12 Patrick McNiece,
13 Kyle Coney, 14 Martin Penrose, 15 Owen Mulligan.

Having had a look through the Tyrone team it looks really beatable, inexperienced full back line new midfield pairing and strung together half forward line but their half backline and full forward still makes me cautious even without Stephen O’Neill.

That’s the sneaky thing about Tyrone on Paper they don’t look like world beaters and Mickey Harte would remind me that games are not won on paper.

Their seemingly average players, have this high footballing intelligence about them, they do the simple things well and always take the right option. Not only that, but they do this all at an incredibly high intensity.

Mickey Harte’s ethos is exemplified none more so than Joe McMahon and Martin Penrose, both underrated but highly effective players. They both featured for Ulster in their Railway Cup win. Along with Tyrone’s other in form players.

Owen Mulligan and Peter Harte.

Mulligan is rolling back the clock and causing havoc, he will need to be well marshaled come Sunday. Finally after a long career, he is showing a maturity needed to lead the Tyrone forward line.
Peter Harte is  the opposite end of the career spectrum, but he has been a revelation driving from the half backline and getting on the score sheet as well, interesting to see how he does on Andy who starts on the forty (about time too!).

Although not as formidable as they once were, they are on form and possess some really talented players ready to make a name for themselves.

Hopefully not in fortress Drogheda on Sunday!

Later LOUTH team reaction
