Louth Team Reaction

1 Neil Gallagher
2 Gerry Hoey 3 Dessie Finnegan 4 Jaime Carr
5 Ray Finnegan 6 Mick Fanning 7 Liam Shevlin
8 Paddy Keenan 9 Brian Donnelly
10 Derek Crilly 11 Andy McDonnell 12 Adrian Reid
13 Derek Maguire 14 Ronan Carroll 15 Mark Brennan

Firstly I like the balance of the forward line.

Andy on the forty when he came out worked really well the last day and Ronan inside means we have an aerial threat inside without him having to worry about picking up Peter Harte’s and his usually devastating runs from the back.
Darren Clarke is a huge loss he’s accounted for nearly 1/3 of our score's so far this year and he is our main free taker.
Who will take our free’s Sunday?
We have showed a large spread of scorers in the past two games but without Clarkie there is  further stress on the rest of the team to step up to the plate.
Their plate is loaded enough anyway without having this further stress against Tyrone.
Hard to know where the scores are going to come from?
The answer to these two questions will decide whether we win or get something out of the game or not.

Our defense as a whole will be severely tested on Sunday and look no further than Mick Fanning. Granting he played a challenge match against Cavan and a couple of Sheelan cup games for the Jocks. His first competitive start this season against unbeaten Tyrone is a huge risk!
Fanning going straight back into the side highlights two things. 1. No one stood up and made the place their own and our lack of Centre back’s in the county.

Otherwise the Defence
picks itself with Pops is very unlucky to lose out, I’d have preferred his street smarts going into battle Sunday but Hey I’m not picking the team!
In general I think Fitzer is Slowly but surely getting the right team out.
But maybe the process of elimination has come too soon for Tyrone, on Sunday.
