4W's Longford U21

WHO: Last year’s Finalists Longford

WHAT: Quarter Final of the Leinster U21 Championship

WHERE: Haggardstown

WHEN: 7:30pm

Tonight you could say Louth will face a Sterner test than they did the last day in Ballyragget.

Let me give you an idea of the test we face tonight. In 2010 the Longford minors we're well and truly beaten by Offaly in the first round only to progress through the back door and beat the same Offaly team in the leinster final.

Although technically, majority of that side is going to be next years under21 team, alot of them will be playing tonight as a number were involved in last years leinster Under 21 final defeat.

Yes they were defeated in the leinster under21 team last season!

so they'll have a nice mix of success from the 2010 minors and experience from last years under 21 defeat.

This does not bode well for us but in Colin Kelly we trust.

He and his backroom team has prepared his team quite well, We are at home and have a (cough) game under our belts, one more than Longford have.

Plus our lads have little or no pressure going into the game.

A result would be a great boost to what I see is a talented bunch of Louth players.

They've come in for a lot of national press for the wrong reasons against Kilkenny. This will not bother the players one bit but hopefully the management used it as something focus on and bond the players together.

Hopefully they did so sternly enough, to pass this test.

I certainly think they will

Things to expect:
An open brand of football, a lively James McGivern and Robbie Smith up front for longford and for Louth Anthony Williams and Eamon O'Neill to hopefully start and show their potential.
