The Great Relegation Escape Pt2

Division 2 Preview Part 2
Away Draw

Four Away games in any division is no mean feat

It means an overnight stay the night before, Sleeping in a different hotel bed, trying to kill alot time, all on top of a long energy sapping bus trip!

Fortuitously our location means only we are playing two local rival's Monaghan and Meath in the Division!

Possible venue’s Navan and Inniskeen...

Sure they are only a spin over the road lad!

Although former manager Eamon McEnaney could do a common trick he did with Louth, make the away team travel that bit further and possibly drag us to Clones.

But these derbies take the sting out of the travel as form goes out the window.

Louth Players like Navan, They have played there umpteen times so the familiarity factor will stand to us. Anyway Besides that when we play them on the last day Meath will have all the pressure, well expected to beat us. We will gladly play the underdog card to our advantage. The same goes for the Monaghan game. We should play into their complacency and look for results in each.

The other two way games we play Derry and Galway which might work in our favour also.

I might be mad but here's my theory,

Both these's team blow ridiculously hot and cold from possible all-Ireland winners one minute to complete turmoil in the camp the next.....

With their arrogance and abundance of talent combined, their approach might not be as sharp as an away trip against us.
Coming to play them on their home patch may relax their focus. They both have the potential to take their eye of little old Louth. We could Scalp one of them.

Furthermore we play Derry in the 2nd last game fingers crossed they might be qualified at that stage and spare us their intensity.

As being underdogs in this division, the less pressure away from home and more we play the underdog card will stand to us!!!

We should target at least 3 points and 2 local derby win’s everything else is a bonus.
