WHAT: First round of the National football league Division 2
WHERE: Haggardstown
WHEN: 2:30pm
Okay we know the score.....start as you mean to go on, get the confidence up early doors and most importantly get the points on the board as quick as possible.
So luckily enough, we play Westmeath, a fellow promotion team like ourselves in the first game, at home.
They are also minus their Garrycastle contingent still involved the club all-Ireland, On top of that a couple of players have emmigrated and jumped ship to their hurling team.
Very Lucky us eh?
Regards the match itself
It looks quite promising also....our Midfield has the potential to dominate and be the best possible partnership in the whole Divison. Although PK is an injury worry, he knows to trust himself for such a big game. But all going well (and that's a minimum risk but) they should provide a platform for our forwards.
Defensively our thrown together line up will be tested by Westmeath and the ever meancing Dennis Glennon and newbie Alan Giles in the corner.
Our forwards in comparsion have the scoring power to get us the victory even with David Reid and Cathal Bellew held in reserve.
One worry I would have would be the law of average's We've beaten westmeath alot recently and they've played in Haggardstown last season.
Things to look out for: Westmeath's new Jersey,
Dessie Dolan in the stand, a beautifully maintined haggardstown ground peppered with the smell of burgers!
