Sunday was a bit like Groundhog day,
Westmeath.
Opening round.
Bad Performance.
........Result!
Games like these, with high expectancy,
usually results in lethargic start and that was exactly the case.
Like our team selection, We were predictable and possibly stale as a
result, With all this nervous energy We lacked a spark...
Westmeath on the other hand, had their
circuits sparking all over the field,
Paul Sharry’s rumoured switch to
centre back did happen, and to great effect. John Heslin Started the
game and lived up to his reputation and Dennis Glennon’s turns were
themselves, electric!
But, and it is a big but, they didn’t
take their chances.
