DEBATE TO FOLLOW

As per Usual, Fantasy and best-of teams, Cause some debate. As duly it is their sole purpose, to get people talking!
and hats off to the Irish independent they've got us talking.

All 15 players are true servants to Louth football doe but some are more no brainers than others.

Case in point Gerry Farrell, who's Louth's career spammed 3 decades that will be, forever hard to beat, PK also, our only All Star, enuff said. and our two corner forwards, White and Kelly, both players of a generation and really makes us groan over the lack of success and waste of talent we had over the 90's.

I know nostalgia has a lot to play and big profile names have a great draw especially when it comes to a national selection.

This usually results in players being pushed to unnatural positions Just to make the team, at the expense of some really talent players.

My complaints with this team are and I always will have my complaints!
Considering for such a small county. we have 1 all star and 3 nominee's I was surprised all nominee's couldn't find a place on the team...

In case you don't know who they were Danny Nugent who made this team and the other two were, the late great Damien Reid and John O'Brien.

Both Outstanding players and really should be on the best of Louth side's. Now. and ever going forward!

Wild Card picks for me would be, Simon Gerrard,
A really class act and soldiered with Louth pre the professional era, when he was his preparation's were second to none.

Another would be JP when he first burst on to the seen he was electric!

and one for future, Shane Lennon. his scoring records are second to none and he still has plenty to play when we look back with nostalgia we'll regret we didn't appreciate his scoring power more.
