Wexford Team and Health Warning

While you were desperately looking for tickets for Sunday's game....

The Yellowbellies named their team and quite a strong team it is too.

Far Far superior team to Laois on a good day even!

Wexford Team

A Masterson,

M Furlong, G Molloy, L Chin,

B Malone, D Murphy, A Flynn,

D Waters, R Quinlivan,

J Holmes, B Brosnan, A Doyle,

C Lyng, R Barry, PJ Banville.

Health Warning

Wexford beat us already this season, quite convincingly in Drogheda and 12 of those players start Sunday.

The 3 new faces that come in are:
Corner Back Lee Chin,
Wing forward Andreas Doyle
and
Corner forward Ciaran Lyng.

Gulp!

With those three back in, they are a much improved side.

hence the Health Warning.

Allow me to clarify this further, They have already beaten us and their team has improved!

Learning Curve

Looking back to the League, We have been in this exact position before.

Good result, away draw to Laois, then we had Wexford at home

we thought 'Grand, Wexford at home, hurling county, no Jason Ryan this year, easy two points, Promotion'

WRONG

They beat us, not only on the scoreboard but tactically and mentally, they played the conditions alot better than us, and actually thought us a lesson on possession football.
They showed quality in the forwards, a manager that was capable in his own right
flipped our promotion hopes to a relegation plight.

and thought us never look too far ahead.
(those of you thinking of Meath next round or a Leinster final can leave the room now)

Ultimately, we did take them for granted that day, Management, players and fans all to blame.

But,

This season We've already learned from the league, by beating Laois and under no circumstance not letting a lead slip.

If we keep learning, come Sunday, it should be a good Louth performance from a side that doesn't take them for granted or is looking too far ahead.

After that the result and (your health) will take care of itself.

MORE TO COME tomorrow
